The creation and maintenance of a community that accepts the way of becoming human as a fundamental life goal, defined by Anthroposophy, which strives to enforce the resulting moral values in its relationship with the world, where mutuality, consideration of each other's interests, reliability and responsibility characterize joint activity.
The fellowship thus formed established Torockó Guesthouse Ltd. in 2023 with the aim of purchasing and continuing to operate the lodge, previously owned by Trascau Impex S.R.L., in the spirit described hereafter.
The members, who established the company accepted that the primary goal of their activities is to protect the tangible and natural values of the Torockó Guesthouse and its surroundings, and to operate the Guesthouse in an ethical business manner that creates the opportunity for the realization of the following goals:
• a kind, open, trust-based, family-like hosting of individuals and groups,
• providing a trustworthy space for the Anthroposophical community in the broadest sense – spanning nations –, offering a venue for recharging, excursions, retreats, intellectual work. Helping people to connect deeper with nature, promoting observation, group meetings, joint work, discussions and training.
We operate the Guesthouse according to the following values:
• We maintain the characteristic simplicity, clarity and naturalness of the building. We strive for environmental awareness and avoid waste.
• We try to bring the Anthroposophical approach as close to everyday life as possible, by organizing thematic camps (eurythmy, spatial dynamics, art therapies, physiotherapy etc.) By consciously experiencing the major holidays during the season – Pentecost, St. John's Day, Michaelmas Day – we strive to renew and establish a tradition.
• We consciously seek contact with the Hungarian, Transylvanian, Romanian and Central European Anthroposophical communities, offering various opportunities for meetings (during holidays, conferences and education camps), creating the possibility for the Torockó Guesthouse to grow into a future Central European Anthroposophical spiritual- and healing center.
• The members agree that the Guesthouse is operated for profit on a general business-like fashion. One third of the profit is spent on renovation and development, one third goes to a social fund (e.g. accommodation discounts for Waldorf schools, support for future goals, etc), and one third will be paid on dividends.
