Welcome to the Torockó Guesthouse!

The Torockó Guesthouse has been hosting those looking for peace and relaxation since 1996. The lodge is located on a one hectare meadow, 2.5 kilometers from the village Torockó (Rimetea), in the direction of the Aranyos (Aries) Valley. It is surrounded by the foothills of the Székelykő (Piatra Secuiului) from the southeast and the slopes of the Ordaskő (Ardascheia) from the west. At the end of the garden, the Torockó creek flows, with a fireplace on its banks.

Over the years, all ages have visited the Guesthouse: from kindergarteners to students to retirees. The spirit of the place has a magical effect on artists, international painting camps are regularly held here, and there have been cases when hundreds of people slept in tents, on the courtyard. It is a real paradise for children: there are unlimited opportunities to play outside - play football, play a game of circle - on the huge meadow, or admire small crabs and fish in the brook.

The large building has three floors: on the ground floor there are two 2-bed and two 3-bed rooms, on the first floor there are twelve 2-bed rooms, and on the second floor there are four 4-bed rooms. The house has a total of 50 beds. There are two shared bathroom blocks per floor, each with two showers. Beside the building we have four small, 2-bed, detached wooden houses, without a bathroom.

All vehicles, even large buses can be safely parked within the plot.

The Torockó Guesthouse is an excellent starting point for exploring the many natural wonders and attractions of the area. Climbing Székelykő is a "must" for all ages, our youngest summit climbers were 4-5 year old kindergarteners. A special curiosity for the older ones is the early morning climb, when we set off for the Nagy-árok in the dark, and by the time dawn breaks, we are waiting for the sunrise at peak, at the height of 1129 meters. Conquering Ordaskő (1249 m) is at least as big an adventure: you can reach the summit ridge on unmarked roads, through dense forests, and across steep meadows. On the way down, you can take a detour to the romantic ruins of Thorockay Castle. For those who don't have enough, the stone cabin (Kő-lyuk), located on the side of the Székelykő, or the stalactite cave at Bedellő hold even more surprises. With a short car/bus ride, you can easily reach the roaring Hesdát stream leaving the Gorge of Torda and the Gorge of the Remete, where you can walk parallel to the flow of the stream, sometimes stepping on stones in the water, sometimes clinging to wires and iron hooks stretching above the shore. In a word: you can easily spend a week in Torockó and its surroundings with ever more exciting programs!

The Torockó Guesthouse is open to all those who value simplicity and clarity.

Near the building there are four cozy little detached wooden houses without bathrooms. The huts, named after flowers, are without comfort: they only have two beds and a small table. On the other hand, the view from them is unparalleled!
